Tucker High linebacker hurt during game | News

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. -- A Tucker High School football player was briefly hospitalized after he sustained a neck injury during a Friday night game against MLK. 

The incident happened at Hallford Stadium in DeKalb County. 

According to Mark Brock, spokesperson for DeKalb County School Athletics, the player, Ian Rigby, was carted off the field and transported to Atlanta Medical Center. 

A DeKalb County assistant athletic director later said the student's parents wanted to make sure he was evaluated by medical personnel to make sure he was okay. He was expected to be released late Friday night.
